The latest round of United States Mint sales figures introduce the first results for the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set™.
They were made available May 27, which was a Thursday. 73,756 were ordered by Sunday, May 30, representing a more than respectable debut. In fact, they were better than the opening numbers for the 2009 quarters silver proof sets.

The clad America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Sets™ topped the 100,000 barrier after having been available for just over two weeks (released on May 13). Their weekly increase dropped only slightly, rising 17,578 compared to the prior 18,391. As a reminder, these sets also opened to stronger sales compared to their 2009 counterparts.
2010 Boy Scouts of America Silver Dollars are getting closer to a sell out. Their total advanced 2,219, leaving them 2,820 shy from reaching the maximum allotted 350,000. If the pace continues, the commemorative silver coins will be gone by next week.
First Spouse Gold Coins dipped significantly. Last week's report showed a surprising 278 weekly jump in uncirculated Margaret Taylor sales. The increase would appear to be a mistake, as the US Mint readjusted their numbers down 249 this week. As a group and excluding the negative uncirculated Taylors, the 24-karat first lady coins added 208 last week. The Tyler coins should go off sale on Thursday when the Jane Pierce First Spouse Gold Coins are released at noon Eastern Time.
