On Friday, November 19, the US Mint placed on sale the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set, the second of three sets within a new America the Beautiful Quarters® product line that will be available annually.

America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set
Listed for sale with a price of $9.95, the 2010 circulating coin set features ten coins with each one minted in circulating quality — the same level of quality one would expect to see if opening a new roll of quarters received from the bank.
As banks can not directly order quarters by a specific design as they could during the US Mint 50 State Quarters® Program, the new America the Beautiful Quarters are more difficult to find. The fragile American economy also requires fewer coins in daily transactions, so US Mint production is down and there are not as many of the new quarters circulating. The 2010 Circulating Coin Set offers buyers the opportunity to get each quarter from this year produced in the Philadelphia Mint and Denver Mint. These include:
- Hot Springs National Park Quarter
- Yellowstone National Park Quarter
- Yosemite National Park Quarter
- Grand Canyon National Park Quarter
- Mount Hood National Park Quarter
The coins honor the four national parks in the states of Arkansas, Wyoming, California, and Arizona and the national forest located in the state of Oregon.
The 2010 Circulating Coin Set is unique in that it was specifically designed for collectors to easily get the quarter-dollars out, if they so choose. The coin can then be placed into other collector products, such as an America the Beautiful Quarters coin album.
As mentioned, the set is the second of three. The US Mint first made them available with subscription orders back in May. However, even US Mint subscription orders are now only being fulfilled.

The three 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Coin Sets
In addition to this one, the America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set featuring Hot Springs went on sale Wednesday, November 17. The other four 2010-dated issued within the three-coin set product line launch next year. On Tuesday, November 23, the America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set will go on sale.
Orders may be placed via the United States Mint’s secure Web site, http://www.usmint.gov/catalog, or at the toll-free number, 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).
The America the Beautiful Quarters Program debuted in 2010 and will last until at least 2021. New quarters with rotating reverse designs will be issued at a rate of five per year for every U.S. state and territory and the District of Columbia.
