Special coin in honour of Sr Alphonsa to be issued - The Economic Times

A special commemorative coin will be issued next year by RBI in honour of Kerala-born Sr Alphonsa, the first Indian nun to be conferred sainthood by the Vatican. An assurance in this regard had been given by Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram to senior Congress leader Oommen Chandy.
