The latest coin collecting product from the US Mint is the Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial Quarters Three Coin Set.
Released today, April 16, 2013, the set for collectors is on sale for $9.95 and can be ordered straight from the United States Mint website at www.usmint.gov. There are no ordering limits.
Celebrating Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial in the state of Ohio, the quarters of the three-coin set are produced in two coin collecting finishes — uncirculated and proof. As a reminder, circulating-quality Perry’s Victory quarters in bag and roll products launched April 1, 2013.
For the collector versions in the three-coin set, there is a proof 2012-S quarter from San Francisco, an uncirculated 2012-P quarter from Philadelphia and an uncirculated 2012-D quarter from Denver. These coins are on a display card with a photo of the national site on the front and information about it on the back, plus a US Mint certificate of authenticity.
Reverse designs on Perry’s Victory quarters show the statue of Master Commandant Oliver Hazard Perry with the background of the Peace Memorial. Inscriptions include PERRY’S VICTORY, OHIO, 2013 and E PLURIBUS UNUM. Don Everhart both designed and sculpted it.
Perry’s Victory quarters are the second of five released this year as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters. They mark the seventeenth released since the series was introduced in 2010.
