The latest US Mint sales are in and with them the opening Zachary Taylor Presidential $1 roll figures. The dollars launched into circulation on Nov. 19 and by the 22nd, collectors purchased more than 53,000 $25 rolls at $35.95 each.
Rolls from Philadelphia proved to be more popular out of the gate than those from Denver. The respective totals came in at 27,015 and 26,200.
Lincoln Presidency penny rolls debuted in the US Mint report last week. 21,109 more were added during the new week, for a two-roll set total of 174,536. The Professional Life cent rolls came in at 4,016, bringing their yearly tally to 252,262.
The latest seven-day Gold Eagle sales aggressively jumped up by 46,000. November sales are at 106,500, bringing the year-to-date total to 1,176,000. By comparison, 860,500 ounces of Gold Eagle bullion coins were sold in all of 2008. American Gold Buffalo and American Silver Eagle numbers slowed a touch. Respective weekly gains were 11,000 and 710,000 versus 12,500 and 775,000.
