2009 US Mint Uncirculated Coin Set
WASHINGTON - Sales of the 2009 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set will begin on October 1, 2009, at noon Eastern Time (ET). The set includes two folders, each containing 18 coins from the United States Mint at Denver and the United States Mint at Philadelphia.
The coins include six commemorative quarter-dollar coins honoring the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories: the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the United States Virgin Islands and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands; four Presidential $1 Coins honoring former Presidents William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, James K. Polk and Zachary Taylor; four Lincoln Bicentennial One-Cent Coins recognizing the bicentennial of former President Abraham Lincoln's birth; one Native American $1 Coin; one Jefferson 5-cent coin; one Roosevelt dime; and one Kennedy half-dollar. WASHINGTON - The United States Mint will accept orders for the James K. Polk $1 Coin Cover beginning noon Eastern Time (ET) October 1, 2009.
The limited-edition coin cover, priced at $14.95, includes two circulating quality James K. Polk Presidential $1 Coins from the first day of mintage at the United States Mint-June 1, 2009, for the United States Mint at Philadelphia and June 15, 2009, for the United States Mint at Denver.
The two $1 coins are mounted on a handsome display card with a 44-cent postage stamp. The postmark of August 20, 2009, marks the day the James K. Polk Presidential $1 Coins were first released to the public. [click to continue…]
