B&M bidding puts 1801 $10 on top - Numismatic News

An 1801 Capped Bust gold $10 topped Bowers and Merena Auctions’ June 5-6 sale at the Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention.

The $10, graded MS-64 by Professional Coin Grading Service, sold for $111,550 in B&M’s auction of more than 3,000 lots. The full sale realized $6,258,873. An 1804 Capped Bust half eagle graded MS-64 by Numismatic Guaranty Corp. went for $60,375, and a proof 1860 $3 gold piece in NGC Proof-65 Cameo reached $57,500.
