Bowers and Merena Auctions’ June 5-6 sale at the Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention features a condition rarity 1920-S Saint-Gaudens double eagle.
The 1920-S $20 is graded MS-63 by Numismatic Guaranty Corp. B&M sale catalogers wrote of the 1920-S, “The majority of survivors are circulated to one degree or another, and Jeff Ambio (2008) accounts for just 65-75 coins in all Mint State grades.”
