The World Masters Games, one of the great international sports events, presents passionate sportsmen and women aged 25-years and above with an opportunity to compete in a fun and friendly environment they will never forget. This year, up to 25,000 competitors from around the world are expected to participate at the Sydney 2009 World Masters Games in October.

Authorised by the Sydney World Masters Games Organising Committee, this stunning silver coin commemorative is perfect for collectors of official sporting memorabilia, as well as participating athletes, officials and volunteers, their families, friends and supporters.

The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality. The meticulously-crafted coin's reverse depicts Sydney's iconic Harbour Bridge with the World Masters Games coloured logo and the motto FIT FUN AND FOREVER YOUNG. The coin's reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint's historic 'P' mintmark.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The ultimate memento of the Games, no more than 5,000 of these superb commemoratives will be released by The Perth Mint.

Each coin is housed in a coloured presentation case and custom-designed shipper portraying silhouetted figures playing sport. Reflecting the colours of the World Masters Games logo and motto, the cases are orange, green, blue or burgundy. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity
