Taking center stage in the latest sales report about US Mint coin collecting products are the debuting 2013 White Mountain National Forest Quarters.
2013 White Mountain National Forest Quarters debuted in six US Mint coin collecting products
They are the first circulating quality America the Beautiful Quarters products to hit the market this year.
Opening coin sales numbers showed demand was strong, since collectors ordered 24,429 of White Mountain Quarters Two-Roll Sets between January 28 and February 4. Each set, priced at $32.95, contains Philadelphia and Denver minted coins. That figure was considerably higher than the starting total of 14,735 for the previous quarter release featuring Denali National Park. The Denali strike launched back in mid-November. As for the first-ever US Mint quarter Three-Roll Set, which included San Francisco minted coins too, its initial sales hit 3,385.
The race for second place, however, did not favor a quarter product. Instead, it was easily taken by the fairly new collectible 2013 American Silver Eagle Proof Coins. The total for the 99.9% pure silver strikes shot up by 21,592 during their first full week of availability. When their gains combine with the 258,860 purchased after their launch, the new total landed at 280,452.
Following in third place for coin collecting sales, and much further behind, was the 2013 America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set. Collectors bought 5,039 more sets this round, pushing the total up to 53,940. This ATB Quarters Proof Set is $14.95 and contains quarters with reverse designs honoring White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire, Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial in Ohio, Great Basin National Park in Nevada, Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Maryland, and Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota.
Along with the two-roll sets of White Mountain quarters, five other products released for coin collectors debuted last week that featured the new quarter. These include bag and roll options from US Mint facilities in San Francisco, Denver and Philadelphia. Each of them appeared in the top-ten list of highest weekly sellers for the Mint.
- In fourth place were 40-coin rolls of White Mountain quarters from San Francisco (US Mint sales of 3,909 units)
- In fifth place were three-roll sets of White Mountain quarters with one roll from Denver, one from Philadelphia and one from San Francisco (US Mint sales of 3,385 units)
- In six place were 100-coin bags of White Mountain quarters from San Francisco (US Mint sales of 2,761 units)
- In eighth place were 100-coin bags of White Mountain quarters from Philadelphia (US Mint sales of 2,141 units)
- In ninth place were 100-coin bags of White Mountain quarters from Denver (US Mint sales of 2,096 units)

The first three columns of the table provide weekly United States Mint sales increases between the listed time periods, offering a sense of recent trends. The last column provides the latest United States Mint sales totals as of Monday, February 4, 2013. Bullion coin tables are found toward the bottom, with the most recent sales as of Thursday, February 7.
