Included were the 2013 Australian Gold Kangaroo gold bullion coins, 2013 Australian Year of the Snake gold and silver bullion coins, 2013 Australian Koala silver bullion coins, and 2013 Australian Kookaburra silver bullion coins.

What makes these investment-grade strikes appealing to collectors are the annually rotating designs of all of the series and limited mintages of certain coin sizes.

When the bullion coins make their appearance, they will be available worldwide through Perth Mint distributors and bullion dealers.

Below are brief descriptions of the latest bullion coin releases of The Perth Mint and links for more information regarding mintages, denominations, and technical specifications.

Each coin’s weight and purity is assured by the Commonwealth Government of Australia and each holds legal tender status. For the smaller coins, the reverse design portrays a kangaroo set against a bush scene. The large 1 kilo 2013 Australian Kangaroo coin, however, displays the classic kangaroo design, surrounded by sunrays, by Dr. Stuart Devlin AO CMG, goldsmith and jeweller to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All of the reverses have inscriptions stating, ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’, the size, ’9999 GOLD’ and ’2013.’
