Within the collecting product lineup dubbed by the United States Mint as American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series, it is the 22nd issued overall and the 2nd released in 2012. Its price is $19.95.

There will be two Presidential $1 Coin Covers on sale this year that honor Grover Cleveland. That is because he served two nonconsecutive terms as the 22nd Presidential of the United States and then again holding the highest office as the 24th President. (A differing Cleveland portrait appears on two of the four 2012 Presidential Dollars.) This first term coin cover has:

  • one Denver minted 2012 Grover Cleveland First Term Presidential Dollar
  • one Philadelphia minted 2012 Grover Cleveland First Term Presidential Dollar
  • one of the five U.S. 45-cent Weather Vane postage stamps.

These two circulating quality $1 coins (and stamp) are held within a display card. Each originates from the first day the coins were struck at each respective U.S. Mint facility — March 8, 2012 for Denver and March 29, 2012 for Philadelphia. A postmark on the card of June 19, 2012, Caldwell, NJ, signifies the day the U.S. Mint issued the Coin Cover.

It and the one released later this year will each have a product limit of 22,000. The American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series is popular with many collectors, and those from 2009 to today are still available directly from the U.S. Mint.
