2010 Lincoln Cent Substitute Gets Nod

The American Flag gets the nod from the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts for the reverse of the 2010 Lincoln Cent. The image's strength and simplicity spoke to commission members, said Thomas Luebke, commission secretary.

The american flag is by far the best choice for the 2010 cent. If we could get the flag on some of our paper money in full color, in my (biased) opinion would be a great idea, also take the presidents off the coins, use historical sites for some of the coins and commeratives, throw in some wildlife and maybe the rest of the world will admire our coin and currency.
